Tonight's tough conversation between our hosts, guest speakers, and special guest, Ret. Battalion Chief, Daniel DeGryse.

Dan is a retired Battalion Chief following a 30 year career with the Chicago Fire Department. Throughout his career, Dan has been an advocate of awareness, education, and proper treatment for substance use and mental health issues. Dan has led trainings for fire and police departments locally and nationally and is a Master Instructor for the IAFF Peer Support Program. Earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1986, Dan has over three decades of clinical experience working in the mental health field providing individual, group, and family therapy. In 2014, Dan collaborated with Rosecrance and became the director of the Florian program, a tailored approach to treat first responders and military personnel facing substance use and mental health issues.
