A Tough Conversation

A tough conversation recorded on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 with hosts Chris Scallon (Founder of Survival Mindset Consulting), Doug Monda (Founder of Survive First), Raul Rivas (Survive First) and Chris Fields (Founder of Out of Chaos).
This week, we are talking to Bridget Truxillo from The Law Enforcement Legal and Wellness Program.
Bridget was a Deputy Sheriff in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida and after spending time in patrol she transferred to the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit (NOCU). Bridget was also the only female member of the SWAT team. Although being a Deputy Sheriff allowed Bridget to serve the public, Bridget realized she wanted to find a way to serve the law enforcement and first responder community directly so she left law enforcement to attend law school as a means to glean the knowledge and skills necessary for this purpose. After 13+ years practicing law in civil litigation, Bridget was able to curate a unique business dedicated to representing and supporting law enforcement officers and first responders.
On February 1, 2021, Bridget launched the Law Enforcement Legal and Wellness Program, a membership-based program designed exclusively for law enforcement and first responders with a unique combination of legal support services, wellness or self-care tools, and much more. Through the membership, members can access attorneys for one-on-one consultations for advice on any type of legal issue, job-related or not. In addition, members have access to virtual calendar of events, including yoga, meditation or mental resilience training, community support, webinars, and a members-only collection of resources; all of which are specifically cultivated to provide comfort, ease and support for a more balanced and joyful life.
